A movie is considered "hyped" on TrailerHeat if its official trailer has reached at least 100,000 views on YouTube. This threshold ensures we're tracking films with genuine audience interest, from major blockbusters to breakout indie films.
What data sources do you use?
We combine data from two trusted sources: The Movie Database (TMDB) for comprehensive film information (release dates, cast, crew, genres), and YouTube Data API for real-time trailer view counts and engagement metrics.

Currently, TrailerHeat focuses on movies releasing within the next 6 months to highlight films with concrete release dates and active marketing campaigns. This timeframe gives you the most relevant and actionable movie discovery experience.
